Editorial policy

We grade every deal the same way, using the public rubric on How we grade. No store can pay to change a letter.

If we ever run a sponsored placement, the page will say Sponsored, and the offer still has to pass the same rubric. Paying us doesn't buy a grade.

We don't show vote counts or comment counts. Every grade is DealTeacher's call, written down so you can argue with it using the lesson.

If a price goes back to normal before a deal was supposed to end, the page stays up with a Class Dismissed stamp and its original grade. Corrections go right on the page, in the lesson or the teacher's note.

We don't copy other sites' deal write-ups. Every grade is our own analysis of the price, the other stores and the seller.
